ExpoNet Custom Stand for ebm-papst Wins ‘Best Stand Award’

Working in partnership with the client ebm-papst and global exhibition company Ambrosius, ExpoNet have delivered an award winning, vibrant custom stand construction at ARBS 2016.

The design included innovative features such as reusable 3D lettering attached to stretch fabric using magnet mounts; a room structure with metal plating with magnet feature structure and some brilliant product displays made from feature acrylics. The clever use of the 9x9 stand area and a 9x3 product display stage space created an open and engaging environment for visitors to freely explore the latest product ranges. Large interactive touch screens were used to demonstrate the product’s various applications.

The ARBS Expo is Australia’s only international trade exhibition for the Air Conditioning, Refrigeration and Building Services Industry. Held from 17-19th May 2016 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, the event connected over 250 local and international manufacturers and suppliers with thousands of industry decision makers and technical professionals.

ebm-papst approached ExpoNet as they were looking to partner with a top Australian exhibition supplier in managing their global exhibition program in Australia.. The lighting including the lighting rig above the stand was supplied locally through Exponet, and formed an essential part of the design. Both of the stretch graphic circles were built using double skinned graphics. These had to be carefully positioned to enhance the look. ExpoNet’s in-house team of electricians provided the power installation service and equipment to the stand.

Whilst this international project was complex, it allowed ExpoNet’s custom stand project management team and build crew to showcase their skill sets. Their key achievement was in the seamless delivery and construction of the stand. The stand components arrived in over 100 timber crates – the precise coordination of materials was a logistical feat that did not go unnoticed by venue and organiser personnel present at the event. The resulting construction was made to exact specifications and the response from visitors and the client was very positive. The ARBS Best Stand Award rewards the hard work and precise implementation by all contributors to the stand’s impact, style and functionality.

ExpoNets Solid Delivery for the 17th Steadfast Convention

ExpoNet's Solid Delivery for the 17th Steadfast Convention

The 17th Steadfast Convention organised by All Occasion Group and supplied by ExpoNet lifted the bar in financial services events this year. With a precise brief from the client to meet key objectives to create an interactive exhibition space for guests to mingle and position Steadfast as a leader and authority in their sector - it was a fantastic project for the ExpoNet team to deliver.

Held at the Adelaide Convention Centre in April, the event secured close to 70 individual exhibitors many of whom chose to present their brand and company in a custom made stand. ExpoNet built the exhibition, overlaying the halls from the flooring upwards. The event space featured over 20 individual custom stands, comprehensive signage including branded floor decals, 50 exhibition booths, feature areas including several stylised lounge areas, registration, entrance feature, and street signs.

Each of the twenty custom stands and the feature areas built by ExpoNet were specially designed and manufactured by the companys team of creative designers and delivered by expert project managers. They utilised state of the art construction materials, stylish, contemporary furniture and living decor such as lush plants to complete the look.

Streadfast Group Marketing Manager, Jacqui McGuigan had high praise for the ExpoNet Account Manager and the team at the Brisbane / Gold Coast branch stating, "Our Account Manager Maria Taylor, Beenleigh QLD and her team, collaborated with us from design concept to execution of the event. Maria worked with my team to design the Steadfast Group exhibition stands which consisted of the Steadfast Stand, Technologies training area, Networking spaces, and custom stands for 23 of our specialist brands. The challenge was to unite us all in one area according to our Group Brand Guidelines whilst at the same time differentiate each brand, creatively. The result was a huge success, and testament to the benefits of working with a team of professionals who obviously enjoy what they do and do it well."

Forget the politics, Brisbanes hosting of the G20 from an event perspective was an unadulterated success.

A Study in Excellence – ExpoNet Delivers Centre for Sales Excellence Exhibition

ExpoNet Delivers Centre for Sales Excellence ExhibitionExpoNet

Sales Excellence Exhibition
ExpoNet has delivered a stylish exhibition within the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Melbourne at the Centre of Sales Excellence conference. Given the freedom to exercise innovation within the elegant hotel space, the team of multi award-winning designers and project managers has created a visually aesthetic and effective exhibition design which provided the organisers a variation on the typical shell scheme booth concept.

The Centre of Sales Excellence conference and exhibition ran from 23-24 October. The brief from the client to ExpoNet requested design, project management and innovative delivery of the exhibition space. The design would showcase individual exhibitors within this space however, would also utilise customised graphics and stylized furniture to represent the event theme and branding.

Proving that the best way to showcase the exhibitor brands on this occasion was by thinking outside the box of the usual 3m x 3m shell scheme booth – ExpoNet collaborated with the organiser and the exhibitors to theme and colour code the exhibitors space set up against a backdrop of clad Corinthian walling printed in their brand colours. Some exhibitors also had great success in showcasing their brand by using ExpoNets StyleMe range of customisable colour furniture to reflect their event theme and brand colour palette in a 3 dimensional format.

The organiser was delighted to see their brand and that of their exhibitor vendors come to life on a cohesive and attractive graphic backdrop. Nicole Donald, Events & Marketing Ninja for Venues 2 Events was delighted, saying, "We want to thank ExpoNet for producing an outstanding exhibition for CSE2014. The level of service that was provided before, during and after the event was exceptional. It gave me great peace of mind knowing that each of my event partners was being well looked after and they were all very happy with their booths. The design and concept was innovative and created a great atmosphere for a successful exhibition."

Show
ExpoNet was a key contributor to the success of the Regional Development Victoria custom stand that was showcased at the recent Royal Melbourne Show. By applying an innovative approach to the design, project management and delivery, with the client and end visitor requirements in mind, the team ensured a smooth and successful delivery for the client - the Department of State Development, Business & Innovation - Regional Development Victoria.

The Royal Melbourne Show is held annually at the Melbourne Showgrounds, and this year ran from 20 September to 1 October, within the Woolworths Pavilion. After successfully securing the tender for the design, development and delivery of a vibrant, visually enticing and interactive display for the Regional Development Victoria exhibit, ExpoNet set to work with a focus on innovation and enhancing the visitor experience throughout the stand.

ExpoNets key responsibilities were to design the custom stand, project manage the delivery process and staffing, manage the manufacture requirements, create the graphic elements, installation, manage the effective and timely dismantle of the stand and conduct a post show debrief. The passionate and multi award-winning team went beyond expectations to include features on that stand that were innovative, sustainable and that directly met objectives for marketing of the brand. The stand was also designed to be easily accessible for large numbers of visitors including State Government VIPs, young and older members of the community.

Utilising a unique and customised selection of interactive hi-tech visitor touch points such as ipad kiosks, backlit map and audio visual elements, the stand also featured highly tactile and visual areas such as childrens interactive and educational hub and art gallery. The creative team used earthy materials to reflect the regional Victorian landscape including turf, plants, rustic furnishings and timber materials. Providing photographic inspiration within childrens activity area were actual /ckfiles/news of Victorian geographical points of interest including Mount Arapiles – used as a backdrop to the real rock climbing wall and an image of Gipsy Point which provided the background image on the boat prop.

Showcasing ExpoNets unique service offering, the team utilised its international supplier network to select a Detroit based experiential marketing team - EEI Global - to deliver on ExpoNets design and project management specifications in order to construct the 3D custom marketing solution at the Detroit 2014 event.

ExpoNet Delivers On Rotary International 2014

ExpoNet Delivers On Rotary International 2014ExpoNet Delivers On Rotary International 2014ExpoNet Delivers On Rotary International 2014

Sydney has recently seen the full force of the Rotary International member delegation participating in the annual convention and exhibition that was opened by Prime Minister Tony Abbott.

ExpoNet was appointed the Rotary International exhibitions official contractor providing their multi award-winning services and products of project management, exhibition design and decoration, shell scheme, custom stands, flooring, power, lighting, signage and flags.

Held over four days, the 2014 Rotary International Convention attracted 18,000 delegates from 150 countries who spent 72,000 delegate days in Sydney and delivered an economic impact of approximately $60.5 million to the State. The mega-event was held across Sydney Olympic Park venues, facilities and parklands and was the largest in the history of business events in the suburb.

THE BRIEF:
Once Rotary International was secured by Sydney for the second time, in light of the change of venue, ExpoNet tendered to deliver the exhibition component of the event.

The brief from the Host Organising Committee was to project manage, provide design and graphic solutions, production and construction of the exhibition and event requirements within the Sydney Olympic Park complex in order to facilitate the Rotary proceedings.

As per Rotary’s tradition, the main area for the exhibition was termed the ‘House of Friendship’. The House of Friendship being a space for Rotarians to showcase their work, vendors to sell items, and ongoing entertainment throughout the Convention.

HOW DID THE EXPONET TEAM RESPOND TO THE ROTARY BRIEF?
ExpoNet designed, constructed and planned the logistics for close to 400 individual exhibition booths in the Rotary Billabong House of Friendship exhibition space.

The innovative team also:

  • Designed and furnished five inviting lounge areas to facilitate mingling and delegate interaction.
  • Created prominent and interactive feature areas on the exhibition flooring including the Convention Hub, 2015 Convention Promotional Exhibit, Rotary Resource Centre Exhibit and the ever popular Rotary Wellness Pod and Pamper Zone.
  • Created the carefully considered Registration Area where 18,000 delegates would be processed, directed and offered seating for up to 1800 people.
  • Provided seating for 570 people and constructed a VIP Fine Dining area in the centre of the Dome at Sydney Olympic Park.
  • Designed and produced the high impact stage branding including the Rotary International Convention imagery that formed the backdrop for the Opening Ceremony proceedings.
  • Designed and literally built the wow factor that was a custom structure inspired by the Sydney Harbour Bridge that delegates could walk through.

CHALLENGES
No event is without some challenges and Rotary being an exceptional Convention due to its complexity and scope offered the ExpoNet team a few challenges to apply their organisational expertise to!

The use of multiple locations and the sheer size of the show utilising all available floor space presented opportunities for the team of logistics experts to shine. Rotary International utilised Sydney Olympic Parks Dome, Halls 2, 3 and 4, the Southee Complex / Badgery Halls 5 and 6 of Sydney Showground in addition to areas of ANZ Stadium, Allphones Arena, various Sydney Hotels, Sydney Airport and even several Sydney train stations.

The ExpoNet team broadened their usual product and service offering to partner with Rotary International and the Host Organising Committee to ensure their requirements were taken care of including the rigging, marquees, industrial safes and catering equipment.

CLIENT TESTIMONIAL – HOST ORGANISING COMMITEE
Congratulations for your work in designing and building the Billabong House of Friendship for the 2014 Sydney Rotary International Convention... It has been widely acclaimed as the "best ever" and the bar has been set so high that it will probably never be bettered. The setting of the Dome as an old country house and billabong caused many gasps of admiration and helped establish an exciting atmosphere for the rest of the site. We appreciated your thoughtful design which made excellent use of available space and contributed to our being able to display a record number of booths. You also did an excellent job with signage which made it easier for delegates to find their way around the site without excessive crowding and your efficient construction enabled all booth holders to move into their sites on time. We also greatly appreciate your willingness to discuss variations to design and the great way in which you dealt with the needs of the occupiers of nearly four hundred booths.

Also having three venues throughout Olympic Park and over 18,000 registrants to direct, the outdoor signage did a wonderful job getting everyone where they needed to go.

National award win
This custom project was delivered by ExpoNet for BEcause Brand Experience on behalf of Woolworths for their annual exhibit at Sydneys Royal Easter Show held 10 - 23 April, 2014 at Sydney Showground.

With close to 900,000 visitors to the Royal Easter Show in Sydney annually and a large portion visiting the Woolworths Fresh Food Dome, the ExpoNet team constructed a robust environment that was above all else welcoming and engaging. The Woolworths stand was presented with the Gold award by the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW for the Best Commercial Stand.

THE BRIEF:
BEcause Brand Experience approached ExpoNet to:

  • Project manage, provide graphics, production and construction of this complex and innovative stand in order to promote Woolworths position within the fresh food and grocery industry to attendees at the Easter Show.
  • Interpret BEcauses creative brief in order to create a fresh food market look and feel.
  • Develop an environment that would showcase Woolworths range of product categories. The activation aimed to inspire customers, entice them to sample fresh products and produce and educate them on how to recreate fresh and healthy recipes at home.
  • Partner in building upon the previous years achievements by delivering the Woolworths stand which was an inspiring, interactive and educational experience at the Sydney Royal Easter Show.

HOW DID THE EXPONET TEAM RESPOND TO THE BECAUSE BRAND EXPERIENCE BRIEF?

  • ExpoNet manufactured and installed the entire 440sqm area including custom and signage elements of the Woolworths area within the Woolworths Fresh Food Dome.
  • The ExpoNet team took a collaborative approach in interpreting the BEcause vision to design and create 9 distinct zones within the space showcasing Woolworths product offerings including: Meat, Deli, Chiller, Woolworths Gold brand range of artisan products, Produce, Bakery as well as a Live Demonstration area, interactive Kids Zone where kids were invited to plant seeds and make their own herb garden.
  • Each market zone provided a visual and sensory space for visitors to interact and sample products.
  • Construction of custom manufactured elements throughout the Woolworths area to create the country market look and feel.
  • The custom stand featured a farm fresh feel using interesting and innovative materials not normally used in an exhibition or show environment including painted corrugated iron, painted v-grooved plywood, themed wall papers and coloured laminates.
  • Even the flooring was unconventional utilising artificial turf, gold and beech coloured vinyl.
  • ExpoNet sourced new and innovative props and products to help style the stand to complement the overall country farmers market theme using garden beds, picket fences, roofing canopies and tyres.
  • The signage was custom manufactured from timber and chalkboard to fit in with the theme.
  • Extensive use of custom printed graphics and branding placed throughout the Woolworths area utilising the ample airspace and creating a strong visual reference to the stand – viewable from a great distance over the crowds.

CHALLENGES
Certainly no project is without challenges and the team welcomed the opportunity to extend beyond previous achievements to construct a visually stunning and interactive area for BEcause on behalf of Woolworths. The sourcing and use of unusual materials, props and flooring throughout the stand raised the bar of traditional delivery and helped to create a welcoming area for thousands of visitors to the Woolworths Fresh Food Dome.

CLIENT TESTIMONIAL
From the get go, ExpoNet understood the vision we had for the Woolworths Fresh Food Showcase stand at the Sydney Royal Easter Show. The brand wanted to bring to life their fresh food credentials and hero their fresh Australian produce and products. Our vision was a fresh food market, designed to inspire and educate show goers. ExpoNet understood that the stand needed to feel real to deliver on the idea. They suggested innovative materials to bring through different textures and ensured that there was a real level of craftsmanship in production of the stand. Lead times as always were an issue, however this did not compromise any of the production quality. We thoroughly enjoyed working in partnership with ExpoNet to deliver a show stopping experience.

ExpoNet and Sydney Showground Partner on Lounge Refurbishment

ExpoNet and Sydney Showground have partnered on a project to revitalise and refurbish the Sydney Showground Lounge cafe. The Lounge café, a prominent hub at the Showground has been overhauled to bring the area up to date with the latest in restaurant interior design.

With a broad brief from Sydney Showground to design a new concept for their café area, ExpoNet relished the opportunity to extend its growing reputation for delivering high quality non-exhibition projects. The ExpoNet design team produced an on trend concept and render that blew Sydney Showground management away.

  • Iconic, industrial, Parisian style café dining chairs.
  • Custom made signage adhered to the entry glass doors designed to marry in with the overall theme.
  • An abundance of industrial metal lighting hung over the central area of the Café.
  • Chalkboard wall display.
  • Planter boxes behind the counter to add a natural and fresh element.
